Getting around in Denmark

Getting to Bella Center, Copenhagen

The Danish EU Presidency will throughout the 6 month conduct meetings in Copenhagen (January-March in Bella Center and January-June in Eigtveds Pakhus). Between April and June a number of events will take place in Forum Horsens in the Western part of Denmark.

During the six months in Copenhagen, media representatives are referred to using public transport, including metro, busses and trains (all three available immediately upon arrival in Copenhagen Airport). Of course, also taxi service is widespread in Copenhagen.

City centre to Bella Center

Transport to Bella Center from the centre of Copenhagen is most easily done by public transport in form of either metro or bus. The metro station Bella Center is situated on the metro line M1 in direction Vestamager. Bus routes changes with intervals, travellers are referred to Moviatrafik for updates. From Bella Center travellers can reach the city centre by using metro line M1 in direction Vanløse.

Copenhagen airport to Bella Center

Transport to Bella Center from Copenhagen Airport is most easily done by regular train service between Copenhagen Airport and Ørestad station, from where metro is available (line M1 in direction Vanløse, first stop Bella Center). From Bella Center to Copenhagen Airport use metro line M1 in direction Vestamager and change to regular train towards Sweden/Copenhagen Airport at Ørestad station. Taxi between Copenhagen Airport and Bella Center takes approximately 10 minutes.

Eigtveds Pakhus

Eigtveds Pakhus is located in the centre of Copenhagen in walking distance from the metro station Christianshavn (from Copenhagen Airport use metro line M2 in direction Vanløse). Furthermore, busses are available (refer Moviatrafik for schedules).

Getting to Horsens

As regards transport to Horsens, media representatives can either arrive at Billund Airport transiting in Europe (a number of European Capitals have direct connections to Billund Airport) or in Copenhagen. Alternatively, regular train service from Copenhagen can be used. Fast train from Copenhagen Central Station stops in Horsens and this travel is scheduled for 2 hours and 20 minutes.

In connection with the EU Presidency meetings in Horsens, shuttle service connecting Billund Airport and Forum Horsens (and hotels in and around Horsens as well as Horsens railway station) will be established. Media representatives are most welcome to use this service. Please note that shuttle service will not be available from other airports.
