In the fall of 2011, the Danish Minister for Culture, Uffe Elbæk, formed Team Culture, a group of European cultural figures that set out to find examples of art and culture that can make a difference in the present crisis.
The press is now invited by Uffe Elbæk and the European Commission to attend the presentation of findings of Team Culture. It will be a day of inspiration and dialogue on the role of culture in a time of crisis on June 6 in Brussels.
The members of Team Culture 2012 will present their individual projects.
Danish Minister for Culture, Uffe Elbæk says:
“It all really started with a question: In the fall of 2011, when I became Minister for Culture in the midst of a severe European economic crisis, I started asking: “What is the role of culture and art in a time of crisis? What – if any – can be the contribution of art culture in our search for finding new hope, energy, and a way out of the crisis?”
The press can sign up by sending an email with name and contact info to: ash@kum.dk
Time and place: June 6, 9 am to 5 pm, The Egg, Bara 175, Brussels.
