After six months as President of the Council, the Danish Government has today released a publication of the facts and results of the Presidency.
Today the European Heads of Governments agreed on the location of the Unified Patent Court. This ends more than 30 years of negotiations on the European Patent Reform. In the future patent applications should only be filled once to be applicable in all the 25 EU member states who are participants in the enhanced co-operation. This will make it both easier and cheaper for European businesses to protect their patents in Europe.
The Danish EU Presidency has reached an agreement about a European label for venture capital and social entrepreneurship funds in the EU. Thereby the Council and the European Parliament has agreed on two key initiatives in the Single Market Act; initiatives which can abate the current financing challenges for especially innovative and newly established companies in the EU.
The EU has taken one step further in the fight against cybercrime. The European Parliament and the Council have agreed on new minimum rules concerning the definitions and sanctions of criminal offences in the area of cybercrime. The file has been a priority for the Danish EU Presidency who in close cooperation with the European Commission and the European Par-liament has worked hard to achieve consensus on the matter.
Yesterday EU's Ministers for European Affairs held the last Council meeting during the Danish Presidency. The Ministers put the finishing touches on the Presidency’s draft negotiating box on the Multiannual Financial Framework as part of preparations for the meeting of Heads of State and Government in the European Council on 28-29 June. Furthermore it was agreed to open accession negotiaions with Montenegro.
On 26-27 June 2012 the Danish EU Presidency and the European Commission will host a conference in Copenhagen, concerning traffic safety.
Am 26. Juni treffen sich die Europaminister zum letzten Mal während der dänischen Ratspräsidentschaft im Rat für Allgemeine Angelegenheiten (RAA). Europaminister Nicolai Wammen wird die Sitzung leiten, die unter anderem die Erörterung des mehrjährigen Finanzrahmens der EU, die Vorbereitung des Europäischen Rates und die Erweiterungsverhandlungen mit Montenegro auf der Tagesordnung hat.
Die Wirtschafts- und Finanzminister der EU hatten heute ihr letztes ECOFIN-Treffen während der dänischen Ratspräsidentschaft. Die Minister einigten sich auf Empfehlungen für alle 27 EU-Länder in Bezug auf eine gesunde Wirtschaftspolitik und Reformen, die Europa aus der Krise führen, das Wachstum ankurbeln und Jobs schaffen sollen. Die Minister erörterten auch Wege zur Einführung einer Finanztransaktionssteuer und einer Energiebesteuerung.

Die Finanz- und Wirtschaftsminister der EU treffen sich morgen, am 22. Juni zum letzten Mal unter dem Vorsitz von Margrethe Vestager, denn am 1. Juli geht die Ratspräsidentschaft an Zypern über. Die Minister werden unter anderem Erklärungen und landesspezifische Empfehlungen für alle 27 EU-Mitgliedsländer in Bezug auf eine gesunde Wirtschaftspolitik und wirtschaftliche Reformen beschließen, die dazu beitragen können, Europa aus der Krise herauszubringen und Wachstum und Jobs zu schaffen. Voraussichtlich werden die Minister auch über Wege diskutieren, eine Abgabe für Finanztransaktionen zu schaffen. Die Minister werden auch die Empfehlungen für Bulgarien und Deutschland aufheben, da diese Länder ihre öffentlichen Defizite unter 3 Prozent des BNPs gebracht haben, und die zeitweilige Sperrung der Mittel des Kohäsionsfonds für Ungarn aufheben.
