Environment
The Environment Council works to promote a harmonious, balanced and sustainable development of the EU economic activities. More specifically, the council works to ensure the quality of the environment and a prudent and rational utilization of natural resources. At the global level it is working to promote measures that contribute to solving the global environmental problems. The Council consists of the Member States’ ministers of climate and environment and they meet app. four times a year.
