The attendees of this meeting are the Heads of the national competent authorities for medicinal products in the EU and the EEA-EFTA states. Furthermore, representatives of the European Commission and the European Medicines Agency also attend. At the meeting it is primarily operational topics that are considered to ensure a consistent practice within the areas of responsibility of the national competent authorities, e.g. authorisation of medicinal products, Benchmarking of European Medicines Agencies (BEMA) and the Common European Submission Platform – common portal for submission of electronic applications for marketing authorisation.
