The purpose of the meeting is to discuss and formulate proposals for the EU's negotiating positions in advance of the international Intergovernmental Committee Meeting 7-13 April 2012, in India. Professional-technical input on the design of the ABS Global Protocol's financial mechanism and information exchange between the Parties to the Protocol will be emphasised.
