The aim of the conference, which gathers politicians, high level civil servants and experts, is to explore ways to further improve the EU’s readiness for humanitarian crisis, its response to crisis and its capacities for post-crisis recovery. The High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs, Catherine Ashton, and the Danish Minister for Foreign Affairs, Villy Søvndal, are expected to participate at the conference.
